Dr Wilhelm Schmidt is a qualified Orthopaedic surgeon with interest in general orthopaedics, sports and shoulder conditions. He has the experience and knowledge of managing musculoskeletal diseases and injuries.

Dr Schmidt obtained his medical degree (MBChB) from the University of Pretoria in 2010 and received his FC Ortho (SA) from the College of Medicine of South Africa in 2021 and MMed Orth from the University of Pretoria in 2021. Dr Schmidt worked as a medical officer between 2013 and 2015 at Tembisa Tertiary Hospital and Steve Biko Hospital between 2015 and 2016. 

Dr Schmidt has worked in all subspecialties of orthopaedics and has performed numerous surgeries in each subspecialty. He prioritises the improvement of health and function in all of his patients. Dr Schmidt has assessed patients in clinics and guides possible management options, which may include surgery. He has experience working in trauma firms and casualty wards, and clinics. Dr Schmidt was a registrar at the University of Pretoria from 2016 to 2021, and has been working at Life Glynwood Hospital and Life Dalview Hospital since 2022.
